suburbaphobia started as an archival project attempting to preserve the anxiety of the american suburb. what began as an outsider photography project revolving around blurred, high-iso photographs transformed with the acquisition of an olympus stylus dlx and major life changes. it is now a wholly personal account of the summers i spend in my hometown of maplewood, new jersey. suburbaphobia "v2.0" is a collection of faceless (most often flash) photographs trying to paint a picture of the melancholy, anxious, and human american suburb.
